Bastian Schweinsteiger has revealed he will not join another European club as his future at Manchester United remains in limbo.
New United manager Jose Mourinho has kicked the World Cup winner out of the first-team dressing room and forced him to train with the reserves.
Schweinsteiger, 31, has no future at United but insists he will not join another club in Europe and remains available for Mourinho if he is required.
“MUFC will be my last club in Europe. I respect other clubs, but Manchester United was the only one which could make me leave Bayern Munich,” Schweinsteiger wrote on his official Twitter account.
“I will be ready, if the team needs me. This is all I can say about the current situation. I want tot hank the fans for the amazing support over the recent weeks.”
Schweinsteiger only joined United from Bayern last summer but has struggled for form and fitness. In fact, United’s win ratio is far superior without him in the team (59.3%) compared to when he has started (38.5%).
