On-loan Roma striker Edin Dzeko has revealed Inter manager Roberto Mancini tried to bring him to the club before he joined he Giallorossi.
Roma have already made the deal to sign Dzeko permanent from Manchester City but the Bosnia international admits there was other interest from Serie A.
“Did Mancini try to sign me?” Dzeko said in Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Yes, it was before the end of the season, but nothing really happened and now I’m happy here. He was the one who brought me to City from Germany, to play at the highest level.”
The Roma forward has struggled to settle thus far and hasn’t managed to score in his last eight matches in all competitions for the Giallorossi.
