Tottenham set to hand Pochettino new deal

Tottenham are keen to reward Mauricio Pochettino with a bumper deal in order to secure his long-term future ahead of the club’s new stadium move, claims The Daily Telegraph

The north London outfit are due to move into their new £850m stadium next season and want Pochettino to build a dynasty at the club.

Pochettino has been a revelation for Tottenham since replacing Tim Sherwood in 2014 and has been tipped as a future Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain manager.

The 45-year-old signed a new five-year deal worth £5.5m-a-year in 2016 but Daniel Levy is ready to reward the Argentine with a lucrative contract to end any doubts about his future at the club.

Tottenham are currently 13 matches unbeaten in all competitions, despite the fact they have faced Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Juventus in their last five matches.

Furthermore, since August 2015, only Manchester City have won more Premier League points (216) than Tottenham (208).
