Neymar responds to Man Utd no-show with Euro player of the week award
Patrick Bamford bagged his first Premier League hat-trick of his career as Leeds tore Aston Villa apart on Friday night, earning a 3-0 win at Villa Park. However, Bamford is pipped to the European player of the week award by PSG star Neymar, who earned his second perfect 10 rating in a Ligue 1 match this season as he responded to his no-show in the Champions League defeat to Manchester United in fine fashion

Goalkeeper - Sergio Herrera (Osasuna) - 8.25
After his man of the match display against Eibar last time out, Sergio Herrara followed that up with another star man performance at the weekend as Osasuna secured a 1-0 win over Athletic Club. The 27-year-old was solid as the last line of defence, making five saves in all, as Herrera kept his fourth clean sheet of the season in a showing that yielded a WhoScored rating of 8.25.

The experienced defender defended resoulutely, making nine interceptions - no player has made more in a LaLiga match this season - and two tackles as Eibar secured a smash-and-grab win with Arbilla the star man in the victory.

Those came from returns of two shots and one key passes, respectively. Off the ball, the youngster excelled as he made three tackles and two interceptions in a man of the match performance where Castrovilli earned a WhoScored rating of 8.82.

The European player of the week across Europe's top five leagues, Neymar had a direct hand in two of PSG's four goals in their commanding victory over Dijon on Saturday. The Brazilian provided assists for Moise Kean and Kylian Mbappe either side of half time, and he could have had more to show for his efforts having created eight goalscoring opportunities and mustered seven shots. Five successful dribbles, three interceptions and two tackles saw Neymar earn his second perfect 10 WhoScored rating in a Ligue 1 match this season.
