Ligue 1 round-up: Memphis Depay earns perfect WhoScored 10 rating

Memphis Depay has endured a mixed time on and off the pitch this season but was at his dazzling best in Lyon’s 4-2 triumph away to Guingamp on Saturday. The 24-year-old played a direct hand in all four of Lyon’s goal, scoring twice and providing two assists.

Both of Depay’s goals were from outside the box, including a stunning long-range free-kick. The Lyon star had five shots in total, registered three key passes and completed four dribbles. Depay scored the only WhoScored 10 rating of the weekend in Ligue 1, his best performance of the campaign.

Marseille centre-back Adil Rami also turned in an eye-catching display in France over the weekend, playing an integral part in OM’s 2-0 win at home to Dijon. Rami provided the assist for Lucas Ocampos’ opener on the stroke of half-time and secured all three points with a close-ranger header with six minutes to play.

Rami had three shots in total and won four aerial duels to garner the second highest WhoScored rating in Ligue 1 (9.68). Furthermore, Rami completed seven tackles and interceptions combined and made eight clearances to help Marseille earn their first clean sheet at home in the league in over a month.

Edinson Cavani scored a hat-trick in Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-0 win away to Monaco but did little else, missing out on a spot in the top three highest WhoScored rated players from GW13. He misses out to Wahbi Khazri (9.66). The 27-year-old played a direct hand in both of Saint-Etienne’s goals in an impressive 2-0 win over Reims.

Reims had kept eight clean sheets in 12 league matches prior to their encounter, but Khazri was key in unlocking their defence. The Saint-Etienne No.10 assisted Mathieu Debuchy’s goal in the first minute before doubling their advantage shortly before half-time. He also made a goal-line clearance while they were only 1-0 up.

While the aforementioned quartet flourished, the same cannot be said Karl-Johan Johnsson, who finished the weekend as the lowest performing player in Ligue 1 (5.01). The Guingamp goalkeeper conceded four goals against Lyon, only making two saves.
