It is becoming routine to see the main event in England played out on a Monday night: this time around it is also the biggest game of the weekend across Europe and the only direct clash at the top of a table. Arsenal-Manchester City could be especially relevant to the aspirations of their season for the hosts, who must prove to be competitive in what looks likely to be their most realistic bid for the title in years.

This is the perfect chance for the Gunners in reference to the whole season, not only this game. Real Betis vs Sevilla - Sevilla @2.00

Real Betis would have much preferred to have played this derby a month ago when Sevilla where in a terrible run of form. However, they are now unbeaten in their last six (five wins and one draw) matches in all competitions, which they haven’t managed to do since they went on to retain their Europa League title last season. The difference in form is mirrored by the odds, where the away side are slight favourites. Moreover, Betis have not won the home derby in nine years, in which time they’ve lost four and drawn one.

Frankfurt vs Werder Bremen - Over 1.5 Goals in First Half @2.50

This encounter will see two teams among the worst defensively in the Bundesliga meet head-to-head. Only Stuggart (36) have conceded more goals in the league than Werder Bremen (30) so far this season in German’s top-flight, whereas only four teams have let in more goals on home soil than Frankfurt (13). Games involving Frankfurt have tended to be entertaining for both sets of supporters in recent memory, particularly in the first half where there have been over 1.5 goals in three of their last four outings. Can Paris Saint-Germain be stopped this season? They are already 17 points clear of the chasing pack in Ligue 1 and are still unbeaten, having won 15 of their 18 matches. At the start of the season, not many would have tipped a team like Caen to be the side capable of ending such a streak. While they aren’t likely to upset the odds and stop the streak, they are more than capable of holding the reigning champions, who may find motivation a problem after all but sealing the title with a thumping win over Lyon. Caen are deservedly in fourth place and their home form ranks among the top teams in the league this season.
