Hertha Berlin maintained their fine start to the season with a comfortable 4-2 win over Gladbach on Saturday as they made it 10 points from 12 available. With four games gone, the capital side remain Bayern Munich’s closest contenders to the title at the top of the table, with Vedad Ibisevic churning out a man of the match display to maintain Hertha’s fine start.

Ron-Robert Zieler rounds off the top-3 best-rated players of the week in Germany, with the former Leicester man putting in a clean-sheet attaining display to hold Fortuna Dusseldorf to a 0-0 draw. The VfB Stuttgart number one was routinely tested over the 90 minutes, but was equal to every attack he faced as he made seven saves to return a WhoScored rating of 8.52.
It wasn’t the best of weeks for Fabian Giefer, who gained a lowly WhoScored rating of 5.08 in Augsburg’s 3-2 home defeat to Werder Bremen.
