Guardiola to maintain perfect record over Sarri in Betfair jackpot

In partnership with Betfair, we bring you a new free-to-play score predictor exclusively to WhoScored.com, with huge cash prizes to be won.

There’s £/€1,000,000 at stake for any player who correctly predicts all six scores from the selected matches, while there are consolation prizes for those who get four or five of the scorelines spot on. Prizes will be shared in the eventuality of multiple winners.

The big difference with this game, however, is that you will receive real money ‘cash out’ offers between matches, so if your first four predictions have come in, for example, and you get a little twitchy, there’s still the chance to make a tidy profit on, well, no stake at all!

All you need to do is set up a Betfair account if you don’t have one already, with a sign-up offer of £100 in free bets for new customers.

Every other week we run through our six predictions from the selected matches, justifying our choice for each.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace – Full match preview

Saturday, 3pm KO

West Ham are on a roll at the moment. The Hammers have won successive matches and have scored three goals in each victory.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side will hope to inflict further misery on Crystal Palace in Saturday’s London derby.

Palace will be low on confidence after losing 3-1 away to rivals Brighton despite the fact the Seagulls played most of the game with 10 men.

The Hammers are unbeaten in their last three home league matches against Palace and will be confident of prolonging that run this weekend.

Cardiff vs Southampton – Full match preview

Saturday, 3pm KO

Ralph Hasenhuttl was appointed Southampton manager prior to their 3-1 defeat to Tottenham on Wednesday but this weekend’s trip to Wales is his first official game in charge.

Southampton have only won one league game all season and will desperately hope to benefit from new manager bounce this weekend.

Southampton start the weekend in the bottom three but can leapfrog Cardiff with a win on Saturday.

Cardiff have alternated between winning and losing in their last four league matches, most recently falling to a 3-1 defeat to West Ham in midweek.

There have been over 2.5 goals in six of Cardiff’s last seven home league matches, suggesting another high scoring affair is on the cards here.

Chelsea vs Manchester City – Full match preview

Saturday, 5:30pm KO

Manchester City could be second in the Premier League by the time this match starts at Stamford Bridge and there will be even more pressure on Pep Guardiola’s side.

However, they are arguably catching Chelsea at the perfect time as Maurizio Sarri’s side have gone off the boil of late.

Chelsea have only won one of their last four league matches, losing two of their last three including Wednesday’s shock 2-1 defeat to strugglers Wolves.

Guardiola has a 100 per cent winning record against Sarri managed sides, including a Community Shield victory at the start of the season.

Not only that, but Chelsea have failed to score in their last three encounters with the Citizens.

Leicester vs Tottenham – Full match preview

Saturday, 7:45 pm

After moving up into third in midweek, Tottenham will hope to distance themselves further from those beneath them this weekend.

With Chelsea and Manchester City facing off in the game before, they will either have the chance to move further clear of fourth or close the gap at the top. A draw would allow Tottenham to do both.

Tottenham have won four of their last five in the Premier League but can expect a tough test against Leicester, who are unbeaten in their last seven in all competitions.

However, Leicester look set to be without Jamie Vardy this weekend and his absence would be a huge blow for the home side, given his record against the top-six sides.

Newcastle vs Wolves – Full match preview

Sunday, 4pm KO

Newcastle have hit form at the right moment heading into the busy festive schedule, only losing one of their last six in the Premier League.

Rafa Benitez’s side have moved clear of the relegation zone as a result and will hope to put further daylight between themselves and the bottom three on Sunday.

Wolves, meanwhile, put an end to a poor six-game winless run in midweek by shocking Chelsea 2-1 at home. Nuno’s side can take great confidence from that result.

Nevertheless, Wolves have struggled on the road this season. They have never scored more than once in an away league game.

Everton vs Watford – Full match preview

Monday, 8pm KO

The final match of gameweek 16 in the Premier League will see Marco Silva come up against Watford for the first time since the Hornets sacked him at the start of the year.

Silva has got Everton going in the right direction since moving to Merseyside over the summer and will hope to consolidate sixth spot on Monday night.

For all of the fawning over Watford this season, Javi Gracia’s side actually have their worst points haul after 15 matches since they were promoted to the Premier League four seasons ago.

The last four meetings between the two sides at Goodison Park have produced tight games. Everton are unbeaten in that time but their three victories were only by one-goal margins.
