Transfer live blog – January 7th: Chelsea trio lined up with January moves away
Here we run through the latest rumours and round=up the possible movers dominating today’s gossip columns.
Moses free to leave Chelsea in £12m deal
Cardiff and Crystal Palace are battling for Chelsea outcast Victor Moses, who has been told he is free to leave the west London outfit this month.
After spending two years as a first-team regular under Antonio Conte, Moses has dropped completely out of the picture under Maurizio Sarri this season.
Moses hasn’t started a single match in league or European competition this season and now looks destined to leave the club.
Cardiff manager Neil Warnock wants to reunite with the 28-year-old having previously worked with him during a stint at Crystal Palace but the Eagles are also in the running for his signature.
Since August 2016, Chelsea have won 72.2% of their Premier League matches with Moses in the starting XI compared to just 58.1% when he hasn’t featured from the off.
Bayern Munich offer Hudson-Odoi huge incentive to leave Chelsea
Bayern Munich are so determined to land Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi this month they are willing to hand him Arjen Robben’s No.10 shirt for next season.
The Bundesliga champions have already had two bids rejected for Hudson-Odoi and have tabled an improved £30m bid for the teenager.
Chelsea are desperate to secure Hudson-Odoi’s long-term future but the 18-year-old is reluctant to extend his current deal, which has 18 months left to run.
With Arjen Robben poised to leave Bayern at the end of the season, Niko Kovac’s side are willing to present Hudson-Odoi his No.10 shirt over the summer.
Of players that have made at least three appearances in the Europa League this season, only Alen Halilovic (6.1) averages more dribbles per 90 than Hudson-Odoi (5.8).
Manchester United make decision on Sampdoria defender Andersen
Manchester United are ready to wait until the summer before firming up their interest in Sampdoria centre-back Joachim Andersen.
The Red Devils have scouted the 22-year-old on numerous occasions this season but are unlikely to make any January signings.
United sacked Jose Mourinho before Christmas and put Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in interim charge until the end of the season.
United are unsure who their next permanent manager will be and do not want to make any drastic decisions in the transfer market.
It means they are willing to delay their pursuit of Andersen despite reported interest from Tottenham and Inter.
Of players aged 23 and under in Serie A this season, Andersen has made the most passes (1159).

Turkish youngster reveals offer from Liverpool
Trabzonspor’s teenage attacker Abdulkadir Omur has sensationally revealed Liverpool are chasing his signature.
Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting Liverpool were lining up a shock big-money move for the 19-year-old this month.
Omur has gone one further and sensationally revealed Liverpool have already made an approach and he wants Trabzonspor to consider their offer.
The teenage forward can play in almost every position in midfield and has featured in all but one of Trabzonspor’s league matches this term.
He has scored twice and provided three assists in that time and garnered a WhoScored rating of 6.82.
Monaco and Chelsea yet to agree Fabregas fee
Cesc Fabregas said farewell to Chelsea supporters on Saturday as a January move to Monaco gathers pace.
The former Spain international has already agreed personal terms with Monaco on a two-year deal with a lucrative signing-on fee.
Fabregas has entered the final six months of his current Chelsea deal and Maurizio Sarri’s side have opted against matching his contract demands.
However, Monaco still need to agree a fee with Chelsea and are so far unwilling to match Fabregas’ £10m valuation.
While Chelsea are willing to let Fabregas leave, they still want a fee for the 31-year-old this month.
Of players that have made at least three appearances in the Europa League this season, Fabregas averages the most passes per 90 (129).
Aston Villa identify Abraham replacement
Aston Villa head coach Dean Smith intends to sound out a replacement for Tammy Abraham if Chelsea trigger their recall option.
Abraham is widely expected to join Wolves this week on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
The 21-year-old is the joint-top scorer in the Championship this season (16) and his departure would be a huge blow to Villa’s promotion aspirations.
Smith will instead turn to his former club Brentford in search of Abraham’s replacement and try to sign Neal Maupay.
The 22-year-old has played a direct hand in at least two more goals than any other player in the Championship this season (21).
