Jordan Pickford (Everton) - 8.39
After the disappointing defeat to Southampton last weekend, Everton earned a point away to West Ham on Saturday, playing out a goalless draw at the London Stadium. Pivotal to the Toffees leaving with a point and clean sheet was goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who made a total of six saves, five throws and six ball recoveries.
Fulham moved into the Premier League’s top seven with a win at Crystal Palace on Saturday, and right-back Kenny Tete is one of three Whites players to make our Team of the Week. Contributing to only a second clean sheet of the season, the Dutchman made four tackles, two blocks, three clearances and three ball recoveries, to return a WhoScored rating of 7.47.
Joachim Andersen (Fulham) - 8.13
Tete is joined at the back by Fulham team-mate Joachim Andersen, who returned to Selhurst Park for the first time since his summer switch on Saturday. The Denmark international played a crucial part for the visitors, making a tackle, five clearances, 10 ball recoveries, and one goal line clearance.
Lisandro Martinez (Manchester United) - 7.59
Manchester United picked up their first league victory for nearly a month when they comfortably saw off Leicester at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Red Devils also kept a first clean sheet in three league matches, with Lisandro Martinez a strong performer at the back. The Argentine defender made three tackles, three clearances and seven ball recoveries, while also winning all six of the duels he contested.
Noussair Mazraoui (Manchester United) - 7.80
United full-back Noussair Mazraoui also earns a place in our back four, registering a 7.80 WhoScored rating in Sunday’s victory after making two successful dribbles, five tackles, two clearances and four ball recoveries.
Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 8.79
With a WhoScored rating of 8.79, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is our Premier League Player of the Week, after he scored and assisted in the win over Leicester, on what was his 250th appearance for the club. Fernandes also managed seven key passes and four tackles, on the way to his best rated performance of the season so far.
Emile Smith Rowe (Fulham) - 8.12
Fulham attacker Emile Smith Rowe continued his fine form so far this season with a third goal of the campaign in Saturday’s win against Crystal Palace. The former Arsenal player also managed three key passes, three successful dribbles and six touches in the opposition box, to return a WhoScored rating of 8.12.
Wolves star Matheus Cunha both scored and assisted in a Premier League match for the first time this season, as Gary O’Neil’s side earned their first win of the campaign against Southampton on Saturday. Cunha expertly set up Pablo Sarabia for the hosts’ opener inside just two minutes, before finding the net with a stunning strike six minutes into the second half, his fifth of the season.
Amad (Manchester United) - 8.40
Manchester United winger Amad followed up his Europa League brace in midweek with another encouraging display against Leicester on Sunday, providing the assist for Bruno Fernandes’ 17th-minute opener at Old Trafford. The 22-year-old also mustered four shots on goal, four successful dribbles, two tackles and two interceptions, on what was only his fifth league start this season.
Yoane Wissa (Brentford) - 8.11
Brentford striker Yoane Wissa scored his sixth and seventh league goals of the campaign in Saturday’s entertaining 3-2 victory over Bournemouth, equalising for the Bees in the first half and then scoring what turned out to be the winner early in the second. The 28-year-old found the net with his only two attempts on goal, while he also completed one successful dribble, returning a WhoScored rating of 8.11.
Mikkel Damsgaard (Brentford) - 8.46
Rounding off our Team of the Week is Brentford’s Mikkel Damsgaard, who has now been directly involved in a league goal for the Bees in four of their last five matches. Saturday’s goal against Bournemouth was his first of the season, however, to go with four assists so far. Against the Cherries, the 24-year-old also managed four tackles, four clearances, one successful dribble and one key pass.
