Fanteam Fantasy Football: Ings in red hot form ahead of clash with dire West Ham
With a buy-in of €162.75, not only can you win a slice of the €1,050 prizepool but also direct entry into Fanteam Fantasy Football's World Championship of Online Fantasy Football (WCOFF).
Time is running out to enter the Fanteam Fantasy Football's huge prize draw at the end of the month and you need to get involved as quickly as you can to have a chance of winning the €100,000 prizepool.
There are different ways of entering. You can either pay the €1050 buy-in or win entry into the WCOFF through specific contests with smaller buy-ins, just like the €162.75 one this weekend.
We are even kind enough to reveal our XI for the gameweek, with additional analysis on three of our picks.
Danny Ings (Southampton) - 10.3M
Jamie Vardy's remarkable goalscoring form has put Danny Ings' own streak in the shadow, but the Southampton striker has now scored in five straight matches for the relegation strugglers.
Southampton host West Ham on Saturday in a match that will likely determine the fate of Hammers manager Manuel Pellegrini. Anything other than three points will spell the end of his reign as West Ham manager and even a scrappy victory may not be good enough.
West Ham have won just one of their last 10 league matches and the Hammers have kept only one clean sheet in that time. Not only has Ings scored in five in a row but he has also netted in eight of his last 10 top-flight outings.
The former Liverpool striker has scored half of Southampton's league goals this season and if they are to net against the Hammers then Ings is your man.
Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) - 11.8M
Bernardo Silva is expected to get the nod ahead of Riyad Mahrez when Manchester City travel to Arsenal at the weekend. The Portugal international could even slot into central midfield with David Silva a major doubt for Sunday's trip to the Emirates.
Silva is certainly a like-for-like replacement for his namesake and has the creativity to trouble a poor Arsenal backline. Only Norwich (17.5) concede more shots per game in home league matches than Arsenal (16.3) this season, which is a remarkable feat from the Gunners.
Even though City are not at their best at the moment, they should be able to carve out plenty of goalscoring opportunities and expect Silva to be at the heart of it. He has three assists in his last three appearances and has scored on each of City's last two league matches away to Arsenal.
John Lundstram (Sheffield United) - 8.3M
John Lundstram is down as a defender on Fanteam Fantasy Football but plays in central midfield for Sheffield United this season, opening up the door for maximum points in multiple positions. Lundstram has been a real surprise package in the Premier League this season and has played a major role in Sheffield United's impressive campaign.
Lundstram has scored three goals in 16 league appearances this season and all three have come in home matches. The Blades host Aston Villa on Saturday and will hope to get one over on a fellow newly promoted outfit. Both teams before the start of the season will have earmarked these fixtures as must-win in their bid to beat the drop and nothing has changed here.
Six points and nine places separate the two teams heading into Saturday's contest, with the Blades the form side heading into this clash. No team has picked up fewer points in away league matches than Villa this season (4), while Chris Wilder's side have only lost one of their last nine in the league.
