The Premier League’s first weekend after returning from the November international break delivered, with stunning goals, shocking results and impressive individual performances.

Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham) - 8.15
The Premier League’s result of the weekend came at the Etihad Stadium, where Tottenham condemned Manchester City to a fifth straight defeat, and in some style too. Spurs ran out 4-0 winners in Manchester, with goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario making five saves on his way to a third clean sheet of the season.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (West Ham) - 8.30
Former Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka netted his first West Ham goal in the 2-0 victory over Newcastle at St James’ Park on Monday evening, digging out an effort that snuck past Nick Pope and into the far corner, eight minutes into the second half. The 26-year-old also contributed to a valuable clean sheet, making three tackles, four clearances, two interceptions and four ball recoveries.
James Tarkowski (Everton) - 7.85
Though it is now three games without a goal, Everton kept a second successive clean sheet when they hosted Brentford on Saturday. Toffees centre-back and captain James Tarkowski helped the hosts to a point, making three blocks, eight clearances, five aerial wins and three key passes.
Tarkowski is partnered at the heart of our backline by Wolves’ Mario Lemina, a midfielder by trade, the 31-year-old, however, dropped into defence for the trip to Fulham on Saturday, and to great effect too. Lemina picked out Matheus Cunha for Wolves’ first-half equaliser with a wonderfully-weighted lofted through ball, while he also made three tackles, seven clearances, two interceptions and eight ball recoveries, without being dribbled past once.
The second West Ham full-back to make our XI is Emerson, who provided the assist for the Hammers’ opener against Newcastle on Monday night. The 30-year-old’s corner found the head of Tomas Soucek on 10 minutes, marking his first league goal involvement of the season. The Italian defender also made six tackles, four clearances, and won seven of his nine duels, to return a WhoScored rating of 7.83.
Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool) - 8.92

The 24-year-old found the net with one of five attempts on goal, capitalising on a mix-up at the back for the hosts, while he also made three key passes, two successful dribbles, four accurate long balls and four tackles, for a WhoScored rating of 8.92.
Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) - 8.58
Another midfielder to have found form in recent weeks is Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez, who both scored and assisted in the win at Leicester on Saturday – the Argentina international has now provided six assists in his last five appearances for club and country. Against the Foxes, Enzo also managed three key passes, five tackles, two clearances and five ball recoveries, while he won seven of his nine duels.
James Maddison (Tottenham) - 9.08
With a WhoScored rating of 9.08, Tottenham’s James Maddison is our Premier League Player of the Week following his birthday brace in the victory over Manchester City. Maddison expertly converted from close range on both the 13th and 20th minutes to give Spurs a surprise two-goal lead before the break, while he also made two successful dribbles, two tackles and five ball recoveries.
Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) - 8.71
Club captain Jarrod Bowen is the third West Ham player to feature in our XI following Monday’s win, having provided the assist for Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s second-half strike. The England international also mustered four shots on goal, three key passes, four successful dribbles, two tackles and two interceptons, to earn his his highest WhoScored rating of the season so far.
Arguably the Premier League’s form player right now, Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, was the star of the show once more at the weekend. The 25-year-old bagged a brilliant brace and provided an assist in the 4-1 victory at Fulham. His exploits in west London brought him to double figures for goal involvements this season so far (10 - seven goals, 3 assists).
Son Heung-min (Tottenham) - 7.53
Rounding off our XI is Tottenham club captain Son Heung-min, who was on hand to provide a smart assist for James Maddison’s second goal at the Etihad Stadium. Son also made two key passes, three touches in the opposition box and four ball recoveries, to register a WhoScored rating of 7.53.
