Premier League Form Guide: Liverpool sensation pips Leicester pair to top

Liverpool maintained their blistering form as they turned Everton over 5-2 on Wednesday night to continue their title push with a star man topping the form rankings...

10. Joao Moutinho - Wolves

Wolves secured a professional 2-0 win over West Ham in midweek to extend their unbeaten run and keep their spot in fifth in the table with the experienced Joao Moutinho continuing to excel in the middle of the park. The Portuguese midfielder rises six spots to tenth in the Premier League player form rankings, as does his average rating (7.67).

9. Jamie Vardy - Leicester

Jamie Vardy scored for the seventh Premier League game running in Leicester's 2-0 win over table footers Watford, but his rating dropped to 7.72, as too did his place on the leaderboard. Indeed, while he is scoring for fun, Vardy's WhoScored rating of 6.94 against the Hornets meant he dropped seven places to ninth.

8. Dele Alli - Tottenham

Another player to fall down the top 10 despite scoring in the week is Tottenham's Dele Alli. The England international netted a fine goal in Spurs' 2-1 defeat at Manchester United on Wednesday night as he bagged his fifth goal from his last five outings, but Alli's weighted rating drops to 7.76 after his midweek showing.

7. Kevin De Bruyne - Manchester City

Dropping one spot to seventh is the Premier League's highest rated player. After a man of the match display against Newcastle, Kevin De Bruyne failed to have a direct hand in a goal in Manchester City's 4-1 win at Burnley as his average over his last six league outings drops to 7.77.

6. Adama Traore - Wolves

Rising three spots from the weekend is the second of three Wolves players to feature in the Premier Legaue form standings. Adama Traore's average rating over his last six top-flight appearances is now a solid 7.80 as an impressive performance against West Ham pushed a disappointing outing against Southampton out of contention.

5. Marcus Rashford - Manchester United

A match-winning brace against Tottenham on Wednesday night sees Marcus Rashford rise 10 places up the Premier League form rankings and into fifth with a fine weighted rating of 7.85. The England international has now had a direct hand in five goals in his last four league appearances and Manchester United will be hoping he carry his good form into Saturday's Manchester Derby.

4. Raul Jimenez - Wolves

Last week's Premier Legaue form rankings leader drops to fourth as Raul Jimenez was unable to net his seventh league goal of the campaign against West Ham. The Mexican boasts a fine WhoScored rating of 7.91 over his last six league appearances, but it's seen the striker drop to fourth on the form leaderboard.

3. James Maddison - Leicester

One of those benfitting from Jimenez's failure to score on Wednesday night is Leicester's James Maddison, who rises into a podium position after bagging his fifth league goal of the season in the Foxes' 2-0 win over Watford. He'll look to continue to shine when Leicester face Aston Villa this weekend.

2. Ricardo Pereira - Leicester

The Premier League's second highest rated player also ranks second in the form standings with Ricardo Pereira rising one spot on the leaderboard. The Portuguese full-back has gained a fine average weighted WhoScored rating of 8.02 over his last six Premier League appearances as he continues to prove just why he is one of the best right-backs in the league.

1. Sadio Mane - Liverpool

Our Premier League player of the week, Sadio Mane rises 10 places to top the top-flight form standings after his match winning display in Liverpools's 5-2 win over Everton in midweek. The Senegalese star put in a man of the match performance in the Merseyside Derby as he scored one and assisted two and it means his average WhoScored rating of 8.09 is the best in the Premier League in recent weeks.
