WhoScored.com Acca Assemble – Premier League Gameweek 26
WhoScored’s #AccaAssemble is back this weekend ahead of another round of Premier League fixtures. Using three of the 3pm Kick Offs we have asked our twitter community to choose who they would like to see in their three fold. Over five thousand voters got involved in our polls and the games chosen were Arsenal vs Bournemouth, Chelsea vs Leeds and Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace.
We use Oddschecker to ensure that we get the best price in the market to create our very own acca and offer some rationale behind the picks below.
Arsenal vs Bournemouth – Arsenal to win 1/4
Over 80% of voters have chosen to side with Arsenal here and given that they have only lost on one occasion at The Emirates this season, a defeat to Man City, it’s hard to disagree. Arteta’s side are currently five points clear at the summit of the Premier League and will be hoping to do all they can to keep Man City at arms length.
Bournemouth are in desperate need of points if they are to avoid a return to the Championship. The Cherries are currently 19th on just 21 points. They do have a game in hand over relegation rivals Everton though but given they have won just five times this season it is hard to see the win coming on the road at Arsenal. Bournemouth have conceded the most goals in the league this season letting in 48 goals in their 24 games, an average of two per game.
Chelsea vs Leeds – Chelsea to win 4/6
This was incredibly close and our voters have gone for a pretty even split between Chelsea, Draw and Leeds to win. It is Chelsea that just edges it with 38% of the votes. It has been a tough period for Potter since he took over at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea have only won once so far in 2023.
Leeds are currently situated just the one point above the relegation zone and are in and amongst this seasons relegation contenders. An away win at Chelsea would do wonders for Leeds' league position and if they can replicate their performance in the reverse fixture, where Leeds were 3-0 winners, then this could be possible. That win was Leed's best rated performance so far this season (7.12).

Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace – Aston Villa to win 11/10
The final selection is another home win with over 50% of our voters deciding that Aston Villa will secure the three points against Crystal Palace. Aston Villa have been on the receiving end of two 2-4 defeats in their last two games at Villa Park but Emery’s men will be hoping they can turn things around and get a win here.
Crystal Palace have not had the easiest start to the year and are yet to register a league win in 2023. The Eagles currently sit in 12th with six wins, nine draws and nine losses. They have drawn their last three matches against Brighton, Brentford and Liverpool. They didn’t register a shot on target against Klopp’s men and they will be hoping to have a little more impetus on Villa’s goal this weekend.
