Season so far
Each team has made the same start to the season, winning three and losing two of the opening five games. Leicester sit one place above Arsenal in the table owing to their superior goal difference, but back-to-back home defeats has seen the Foxes lose ground in the race to secure a European finish.
Arsenal have won their two home league games this season, which doesn't bode well for Leicester. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 10 home meetings with the Foxes, winning five of the last six. Leicester will be hoping for a repeat of this fixture last season, at the very least, where they ended a five-match losing run at the Emirates with a 1-1 draw.
Team news
Arsenal's injury list is easing, but first team regulars Dani Ceballos and Willian both remain doubts. Thomas Partey made his full debut, and put in an impressive shift, against Rapid Vien on Thursday night and could deputise for the former, while club-record capture Nicolas Pepe may again replace the latter in the starting XI. Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, Gabriel Martinelli and Rob Holding are unavailable for Mikel Arteta, who could revert to a 3-4-3 system after starting the last two matches in a 4-3-3.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers remains without trio Wilfred Ndidi, Caglar Soyuncu and Ricardo Pereira, while Daniel Amartey joins the three key men on the sidelines. Rodgers will hope to have Jamie Vardy available here, with the striker facing a late fitness test, while James Maddison may make his first league start of the campaign in the capital.
Probable XIs
Arsenal (343) - Leno; Luiz, Gabriel, Tierney; Bellerin, Partey, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles; Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang
Leicester (4141) - Schmeichel; Castagne, Fofana, Evans, Justin; Mendy; Perez, Praet, Maddison, Barnes; Vardy
Key Battle - Gabriel vs Wesley Fofana
While a clash of former Saint-Etienne teammates William Saliba and Wesley Fofana would have added an interesting sub-plot to Arsenal's welcome of Leicester, the former is yet to make an appearance for the Gunners upon his return from the French side. Rather, another Ligue 1 centre-back has come in and slotted in seamlessly at the Emirates.
Gabriel joined from Lille over the summer and the Brazilian has excelled at the heart of the Gunners defence. 377 passes is more than any other centre-back in the Premier League this season with his distribution vital for the north London outfit in 2020/21 so far.
Fofana made his Premier League debut in Leicester's 1-0 loss to Aston Villa last weekend, but despite ending up on the losing side, the teenage defender put in a solid shift at the back, yielding a WhoScored rating of 7.49. Having played his part in Leicester's midweek Europa League win over Zorya, he'll look to keep the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe quiet tonight as Leicester seek to end their poor record at the Emirates and get back to winning ways after back-to-back league defeats.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Leicester
