Arsenal strike pair lead the way Yahoo! Fantasy Football best XI

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger saw off his time at home in style as the Gunners romped to a 5-0 win over Burnley in north London. Unsurprisingly, Arsenal dominate the Yahoo! Fantasy Football top performing team of the week following their dismantling of the Clarets. 

Here, we run through the top scoring side from gameweek 37, with this XI enough to pick up 187.4 points over the weekend from a salary of just £172… 

GOALKEEPER – BEN FOSTER 

West Brom gave themselves a fighting chance of staving off relegation with a 1-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday, only for those to be extinguished after Southampton’s win in Swansea on Tuesday. No less, Ben Foster makes the cut in this side with 17.50 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points having made five saves in the victory. 

DEFENDER – HECTOR BELLERIN 

The first of five Arsenal players to feature in this side, Hector Bellerin helped himself to 13.80 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points as the Gunners battered Burnley on Sunday. The Spaniard registered two assists from his two key passes and made two tackles to star in the side. 

DEFENDER – SEAD KOLASINAC 

Arsenal teammate Sead Kolasinac comes into the side alongside Bellerin, with the Bosnian defender netting just his second Premier League goal of his career against the Clarets. To go with his goal, Kolasinac also made one interception, one clearance and one successful dribble to gain 17.70 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points. 

DEFENDER – PATRICK VAN AANHOLT 

Crystal Palace star Patrick van Aanholt has been in superb form of late and continued his commendable showings with a goal in the Eagles’ 2-1 win at Stoke on Saturday. His goal came from two shots, while one interception and two successful dribbles saw him earn 12.55 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points in gameweek 37. 

MIDFIELDER – ROBERTO PEREYRA 

Watford ace Roberto Pereyra features in the Yahoo! Fantasy Football top performing XI with 20.05 points. The Argentine scored and assisted in the Hornets’ 2-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday, while a 91.3% pass success rate, one tackle and one key pass capped off a strong performance from the 27-year-old. 

MIDFIELDER – JOAO MARIO 

Joao Mario is the first of two West Ham players to make the XI having netted in the Hammers’ 2-0 win at Leicester on Saturday. His goal came from two shots, while two tackles, three interceptions and three key passes saw the Portuguese midfielder gain 14.20 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points. 

MIDFIELDER – MARK NOBLE 

Mario’s West Ham teammate Mark Noble makes the grade having also earned 14.20 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points in the 2-0 win over Leicester. He scored the Hammers’ other goal in the victory and made two tackles and one successful dribble at the King Power Stadium. 

MIDFIELDER – RYAN FRASER 

Rounding off the midfield is Bournemouth star Ryan Fraser. The 24-year-old scored the Cherries’ only goal in their 1-0 win over Swansea, while returns of one interception, one key pass and one successful dribble contributed to 14.10 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points. 

UTILITY – ALEX IWOBI 

It’s all Arsenal from here on in with Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi kicking things off. He netted a second half goal against Burnley on Sunday, that coming from one of three shots, and in addition, made two key passes, two successful dribbles, two interceptions and one tackle to yield 19.25 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points. 

FORWARD – ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE 

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette scored one and assisted another in the Gunners’ 5-0 win over Burnley as he maintained his fine form in front of goal. With an additional one tackle, one interception and four key passes, the Frenchman was good value for his 16.50 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points.
