Romania will need to make at least one change here with left-back Nicusor Bancu suspended. As such, Andrei Ratiu may switch over from the right to start, with Vasile Mogos potentially coming into the XI. 

For the Netherlands, Ronald Koeman has a fully fit squad to select from. Joey Veerman was withdrawn after 35 minutes in the loss to Austria last week and may start from the bench this evening.

Romania vs Netherlands Key Battle

Marius Marin has been solid in the middle of the park for Romania, providing the key shield for the backline that has helped the Tricolorii to the last-16. With averages of 2.7 tackles and 1.3 fouls per game, he's not afraid to get stuck in for the good of the team and disrupt the rhythm of opponents.

This will be key as Marin seeks to minimise Xavi Simons' influence. The 21-year-old hasn't been at his best for the Netherlands this summer but as we saw in the Bundesliga last season, is able to turn the game in his side's favour in the blink of an eye. Give Simons an inch and he'll take a mile. Marin therefore needs to limit the youngster's time on the ball and give him as little space in the final third as possible.
