Villarreal have confirmed they have signed Leicester midfielder Vicente Iborra for an undisclosed fee.
Iborra only joined Leicester from Sevilla in the summer of 2017 for a reported £10.5m fee.
The 30-year-old showed flashes of class during his 18-month spell at Leicester but struggled with injuries and was not a first-team regular under Claude Puel.
Iborra returned to Spain earlier this month for family reason and Puel even admitted he was unsure whether he would return.
Villarreal have now secured Iborra’s services on a deal until the summer of 2023 to bolster their midfield options.
Iborra only started three league matches for Leicester this season and the Foxes failed to win any of those games.
He scored three goals in 19 Premier League appearances during his first season at the King Power Stadium.
