Crystal Palace have entered the race to sign Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks this summer, claims The Sun.
Fredericks has played an integral part in Fulham’s promotion push this season but is out of contract at the end of the campaign.
The former Tottenham academy graduate looks set to leave Fulham this summer and a host of Premier League clubs are interested.
West Ham want to sign the 25-year-old as a long-term replacement for Pablo Zabaleta, while Arsenal are also monitoring the situation.
However, Palace boss Roy Hodgson is now keen on bringing the defender to Selhurst Park with Joel Ward’s future at the club uncertain.
Ward’s existing Palace deal is due to expire this summer and no agreement has been reached to extend his stay at the club.
A two-month injury lay-off prior to Christmas has limited the 28-year-old to 18 Premier League appearances this season, but he is a regular in the Palace defence when fit.
Fredericks has only missed two league games for Fulham this season. Moreover, only Wolves ace Barry Douglas (14) has provided more assists of all Championship defenders than Fredericks (7) this season.
