Havertz wants Bayern Munich move over Premier League switch

 

Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz wants to join Bayern Munich instead of moving to the Premier League, claims Sky Sports.

 

Havertz has been heavily linked with a move to the likes of Liverpool after enjoying a breathtaking second half of the 2019/20 campaign.

 

The 20-year-old is considered one of the best young prospects in European football and Leverkusen are bracing themselves for bids at the end of the season.

 

Leverkusen are hoping to command at least £100M for the German creator in line with what Borussia Dortmund want for Jadon Sancho.

 

Havertz has two years left to run on his current Leverkusen contract and this summer is considered the optimal time to extract maximum value for the youngster.

 

However, the Germany international is ready to dash the hopes of Liverpool as his preference if he leaves Leverkusen is to stay in the Bundesliga and join Bayern.

 

Hansi Flick's side are preparing for the summer and want to use the next set of transfer windows to sign young talent.

Havertz certainly fits the type of profile Bayern are after and the Bundesliga leaders are notorious for poaching the best players from their league rivals.

 

After a slow start to the 2019/20 campaign, which saw Havertz manage just two goals and one assist before Christmas, the Leverkusen star has exploded into form in 2020.

 

In fact, Havertz has played a direct hand in eight goals in as many Bundesliga appearances in 2020, having required 14 appearances for just three goal involvements before the winter break.
