AC Milan sensation set to sign bumper new deal

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is set to pen a new deal with the Serie A giants worth a rumoured €10m per year over five years, according to Marca.

The 18-year-old, who was part of the Italy U21 side that crashed out of the Euro U21 Championship at the semi-final stage this summer, has looked set to leave AC Milan.

However, Donnarumma is now expected to sign a five year contract for Vincenzo Montella’s side, which will come as a blow to host of teams across Europe.

Real Madrid were ready to spend big to take Donnarumma to Spain, while Premier League duo Manchester United and Chelsea had supposedly lined up big money bids for the teenage shotstopper.

Donnarumma’s agent, Mino Raiola, is now set for talks with AC Milan club officials as they look to thrash out a new deal for the goalkeeper.

Donnarumma, whose current contract expires next summer, made more saves (146) than any other goalkeeper in Serie A last season, while a WhoScored rating of 7.05 was the best in Europe’s top five leagues.
