Liverpool ponder Coutinho replacements

Liverpool could firm up their rumoured interest in West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho, according to Bleacher Report.

Coutinho is a priority signing for Barcelona this summer, with reports suggesting the La Liga side have agreed personal terms with the player.

Barcelona will now look to agree a fee with Liverpool for the 25-year-old, with Coutinho believed to have told the Premier League side he wants to leave for the Spanish giants.

Should the Brazil international depart Anfield for Spain, then Liverpool may look to firm up their interest in Lanzini, who has been on the club’s radar for some time now.

Arsenal and Tottenham have courted the Argentina international in recent weeks, though Liverpool could use the funds raised from Coutinho’s sale to fund a move for Lanzini.

West Ham would be reluctant to sell their prized asset, who impressed for the Hammers last season despite the club’s disappointing campaign.

The east London side, though, are striving to tie Lanzini, 24, down to a new deal.
