Juventus agree personal terms with Fiorentina starlet Chiesa
Juventus have agreed personal terms with Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Old Lady want to strengthen in every area of the pitch this summer following their underwhelming campaign.
Juventus are keen to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin and have also earmarked Chiesa as a potential transfer target.
Despite the fact it remains unclear who will manage Juventus next season, the Serie A champions have already reached personal terms with Chiesa for a five-year deal and now need to agree a fee with their rivals.
Fiorentina will struggle to retain Chiesa’s services for next season after their abysmal finish to last term almost saw them relegated.
The Viola finished the 2018/19 campaign in 16th and only three points clear of the relegation zone, though it remains to be seen whether Chiesa is ready for such a high profile move.
Despite being immensely talented, the 21-year-old’s end product leaves a lot to be desired and he would not be a guaranteed starter for Juventus.
Chiesa played a direct hand in nine league goals but only scored six times from 133 attempts on goal in Serie A.
In fact, of players that scored at least five times in Serie A last season, Chiesa had the worst conversion rate (4.5%).
