Pogba open to new Manchester United deal

Paul Pogba is ready to discuss a new Manchester United contract to complete a stunning turnaround at the club, claims The Sun.

The 2018 World Cup winner returned to United in the summer of 2016 for a club-record fee but has endured a turbulent time at the club.

Pogba endured an explosive relationship with Jose Mourinho towards the end of the Portuguese’s tenure and looked on course to leave Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed interim United manager before Christmas and his arrival had rejuvenated Pogba.

The United No.6 is now the most in-form player in the Premier League and he is keen to discuss a new long-term deal with the club.

Pogba’s current £290,000-a-week deal is due to expire in the summer of 2021, though United have the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.

The 25-year-old has played a direct hand in nine goals in six matches under Solskjaer, as many as 20 appearances under Mourinho this term.
