Tottenham set Harry Kane valuation amid Real Madrid interest
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has slapped a stunning €350m (£309m) price tag on Harry Kane’s head amid growing interest from Real Madrid, reports El Pais.
Madrid president Florentino Perez is targeting a huge summer spending spree following the club’s woes this season and Kane features prominently on his list of targets.
Kane has developed into one of the best strikers in the world and even hinted in the past that he would like to play abroad during his career.
However, Tottenham are desperate for Kane to be a one-man club and Levy has made it clear any side interested in signing the 24-year-old will have to shatter the world record fee paid for a player.
Levy is known to drive a hard bargain and in 2013 ensured Gareth Bale was the first player sold for €100m when Madrid came calling.
Now the Tottenham chairman wants Kane becomes the most expensive player of all time, shattering the €222m (£199m) sum Paris Saint-Germain paid Barcelona for Neymar in the summer.
Kane is currently the top goalscorer in Europe’s top five leagues, after netting his 23rd goal of the campaign in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over rivals Arsenal on Saturday.
