Atalanta have decided to take up their option to make Mario Pasalic's loan stint permanent from Chelsea, claims The Guardian.
Pasalic has spent more than six years at Chelsea but will leave the club at the end of the season without making a single appearance for the Blues.
The 25-year-old has endured five separate loan stints in that time and Atalanta will pay €15m (£12.5m) to make his switch permanent this summer.
Pasalic has spent the last two seasons at Atalanta and impressed for Gian Piero Gasperini's free-scoring side in that time.
The Croatia international has already started more league games for Atalanta this season (19) than he did during his maiden campaign (17) for the club.
Pasalic has also matched played a direct hand in as many goals this term from his first season at the club (8).
He has notably returned a goal or an assist every 200.1 minutes of playing time in Serie A for Atalanta.
