Poland international agrees to join Monaco

Poland centre-back Kamil Glik has revealed he will join French side Monaco after Euro 2016.

Glik, 28, has spent the last five years at Serie A side Torino and only signed a fresh five-year deal in December last year.

However, his performances have impressed for Poland at Euro 2016 and Monaco have fended off interest from Besiktas to wrap up a deal worth a potential €15m (£12.4m).

“The Monaco offer is the best that I have received, both for myself and for Torino,” Glik told Przeglad Sportowy, via Get French Football.

“There was also an offer from Besiktas but it did not suit Torino and I did not discuss with them out of respect to Torino.

“Now I am thinking about the European Championships and after that I will have a medical and the rest.”
