Tianjin Quanjin are not giving up in their pursuit to land a big name from one of Europe’s top leagues and are hopeful of taking advantage of Ever Banega’s situation at Inter this month, reports ItaSportPress, via Football Italia.
Banega, 28, joined Inter on a free transfer in the summer after leaving Sevilla but has struggled for regular game time under the various regimes at the club this season.
The Argentina international rejected a move to China during the January transfer window but Quanjin are still hopeful of landing the creative midfielder before the transfer window for Chinese Super League clubs closes on February 28.
Roberto Gagliardini’s arrival last month has only limited Banega’s chances further and the Chinese Super League outfit are reportedly willing to offer Inter €25m (£21.3m) for his services.
Despite struggling for game time, only five players have registered more key passes in Serie A this season than Banega (44).
