Liverpool in advaned talks to sign Premier League winger

Liverpool are in advanced talks to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser in January, claims talkSPORT.

Fraser is out of contract in the summer and has dropped down the pecking order at Bournemouth this season.

The Scotland international was a revelation in the Premier League last season and earned links to almost every top-six club in the division over the summer.

Fraser turned down improved terms from Bournemouth in order to secure a high profile move away but nothing materalised.

Bournemouth will relucantly now offload Fraser in a cut-price deal in January rather than letting him leave for nothing at the end of the season.

Liverpool have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Fraser in January and are trying to conclude a deal before their Premier League rivals.

Jurgen Klopp wants to bolster his offensive options to ease the burden on Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Divock Origi has performed well on the left wing when called upon this season but is naturally a striker, while Xherdan Shaqiri has dropped completely out of favour at Anfield.

Fraser has started eight Premier League matches this season and made a further three appearances as a substitute. In that time he has played a direct hand in three goals.

Furthermore, the 25-year-old has registered more assists than any other player in the Premier League since the beginning of last season (16).
