Inter eye £27m raid of Arsenal

Inter have earmarked Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin as a top transfer target this summer, claims The Express.

Bellerin is approaching his 10th year at Arsenal but has been a first-team player at the Gunners since 2013.

The former Spain international has regularly been linked with a move back to Barcelona in that time and is now wanted by former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte at Inter.

Despite securing Ashley Young's services for at least another season, coupled with a desire to make Victor Moses' loan switch permanent from Chelsea, Inter still want Bellerin.

The 25-year-old is a key player for Arsenal on and off the pitch but wants to see clear signs of improvement under Mikel Arteta before pledging his long-term future to the club.

The uncertainty has allowed Inter to make their interest in the Spaniard known, as Conte looks to bolster his defensive options further for the 2020/21 campaign.

Bellerin has endured a long recovery since rupturing his cruciate ligament in January 2019, which ruled him out for almost nine months.

The Spanish right-back has endured other injury problems since returning as a direct consequence of compensating for his injured knee, including a hamstring problem that kept him out for over a month at the start of the year.

Bellerin has been limited to just seven league starts this season as a result with a less-than-impressive WhoScored rating of 6.63.
