Paul Pogba has been granted permission to undergo a medical with Manchester United ahead of his world record return to Old Trafford.
The France international has been strongly linked with a move back to United this summer and were in pole position for the midfielder after Real Madrid cooled their interest.
On Sunday, the club confirmed Pogba would take the required medical tests before his transfer can be completed.
“Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalise his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United,” a short statement read on the club’s official website.
Pogba gained a better WhoScored rating (7.81) than any other player in Serie A last season.
