Monaco to offer Manchester United outcast a way out

Thierry Henry is keen to sign Marouane Fellaini this month despite the Belgian being ruled out for the next few weeks with injury according to RMC Sport.

Monaco are set to offer to take the Belgian on loan until the end of the season and, indeed, the end of his contract at Old Trafford.

The Ligue 1 strugglers would subsidise the midfielder’s wages and then have the option of signing the 31-year-old on a free transfer come the end of the campaign.

It's a deal that could appeal to United given Fellaini’s injury at present, with the club set to block a potential loan move for Scott McTominay, meaning the youngster would offer cover in midfield for the rest of the season.

The Belgium international was an option that Jose Mourinho used regularly, be it from the start or the bench, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done so far more sparingly.

Fellaini has seen just 31 minutes of action and wasn’t even named in the starting XI of a much-changed line-up in the FA Cup against Reading.
