Tottenham receive boost over Danny Rose’s knee injury
Tottenham expected to have Danny Rose back available for first-team football by the end of the month after finding out his knee injury isn’t as bad as first feared, reports The Independent.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side initially feared Rose could be out for up to two months after limping off in their 0-0 draw with Sunderland after just 38 minutes at the end of last month.
However, the scan results have revealed the damage isn’t as severe as first thought and the Tottenham defender should be back in action by the end of the month, which is a huge boost for Pochettino’s side as they look to consolidate their place in the top four.
Tottenham are second in the Premier League but nine points adrift of runaway leaders Chelsea and most likely will have to make do with fending off their rivals to finish second.
Rose has arguably been the best full-back in the Premier League this season and his partnership with right-back Kyle Walker has proved an integral part behind Tottenham’s success under Pochettino.
In fact, only Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso (7.46) has secured a higher WhoScored rating of all full backs in the Premier league this season (7.42).
