Coutinho set for Barcelona stay

Coutinho is set to remain a Barcelona player for the coming season after Ronald Koeman told the club he is keen to keep the Brazilian in Spain, reports Marca.

Coutinho has been heavily linked with a move away from the LaLiga giants, with a Premier League return supposedly on the cards.

Indeed, London trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been linked with a move for the former Liverpool man in recent months as the three sides seek to strengthen this summer.

However, a move away from Camp Nou now looks off the table with newly-appointed head coach Koeman eager to keep the 28-year-old.

Barcelona have ruled out the possibility of Coutinho leaving on loan once more after he spent last season with Bavarian side Bayern Munch.

The European champions elected against making his move permanent for €120m, despite the role he played in their Champions League success.

Indeed, Coutinho came off the bench to score twice and provide an assist in Bayern's 8-2 win over Barcelona on their way to continental glory.
