Podolski leaving Arsenal, says agent

Lukas Podolski will leave Arsenal this summer in search of first-team football, his agent has confirmed.

The Germany international failed to register a Premier League start last season and only made seven appearances off the bench, before failing to make an impact on loan at Inter Milan during the second half of the season.

Podolski, 30, is now expected to join Turkish side Galatasaray after his agent confirmed he would be leaving Arsenal.

"We had good talks with [Arsene] Wenger," Podolski’s agent Nassim Touihri told German paper Bild. "He wanted to keep Lukas at Arsenal but could not guarantee him a starting position. That’s why we agreed to make a transfer."
