Schalke have confirmed the arrival of Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo on loan for the remainder of the season.
Todibo was heavily linked with a move to AC Milan earlier in the month, but the Serie A side failed to get a deal over the line.
Milan instead signed Simon Kjaer on loan from Atalanta and Schalke have won the race for Todibo's signature.
Barcelona only signed Tobido 12 months ago and ruined their relationship with Toulouse in the process after accelerating their interest six months earlier.
The 20-year-old has struggled for regular playing time at Barcelona, however, and has now been given the chance to get minutes under his belt elsewhere.
Todibo only has 77 minutes of playing time under his belt in the league, but was a standout performer in Barcelona's 2-1 win away to Inter last month.
The Barcelona centre-back was the WhoScored Man of the Match against Inter, but it wasn't enough to convince Ernesto Valverde of more first-team opportunities.
