Barcelona have failed with a €35m (£27.1m) bid for Rennes striker Ousmane Dembele, according to France Football.
Dembele, 18, is one of the most sought after talents in Europe after enjoying a tremendous break out campaign with Ligue 1 highflyers Rennes.
The France Under-19 international has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City and Liverpool in recent weeks, but it would now appear they will have to pay in excess of £30m to acquire his signature.
Dembele reportedly attempted to force a move away from Rennes last summer over a lack of game time before eventually penning a three-year deal in October.
The Rennes striker already has one hat-trick to his name this season and has scored more goals than any other teenager across Europe’s top five leagues thus far (9).
