Watford already keen to sign loan star permanently

Watford already want to trigger the clause in M’Baye Niang loan agreement to make his stint at the club permanent, reports The Daily Mail.

Niang, 22, only joined Watford from AC Milan late in the January transfer window but he has made an immediate impact at the club.

Walter Mazzarri’s side have the right to make the switch permanent in a deal worth £13.5m and are keen to do so in what would be a club record deal.

“It’s always been my dream to play in the Premier League,” The Daily Mail quote Niang as saying after their 2-1 win over Burnley on Saturday. “I came to Watford to stay long term because it’s a nice club and I wan to show what I can give them.

“I’m very happy for my first goal and I want to score more in this stadium. The fans were warm to me and the atmosphere was nice.

“We have to keep going and hopefully get another win. I’m very happy with two important results but it’s not finished.”

Niang registered a goal and an assist on his home debut for Watford as they brushed aside Burnley 2-1 to record back-to-back wins for the first time since September.
