€50m would not be enough for Inter star, says agent

The agent of Milan Skriniar has revealed €50m (£44m) would not be enough to prise the Inter defender away from San Siro.

Skriniar has attracted interest from Barcelona after making a sublime start to the season for Inter.

The Slovakia international only joined Inter over the summer but Luciano Spalletti may have to fend off interest from their European rivals for his signature at the end of the season.

However, his agent, Karol Csonto, has revealed any potential suitor would have to make the 22-year-old the most defender in the world in order to make Inter even consider his departure.

“He signed a five-year contract with Inter in the summer, so no-one within the club is thinking about selling him,” he told SME Sport, via Football Italia.

“It may happen that someone offers so much money that Inter have to consider, but I don’t want to speculate if that would be €50m or €70m.

“He’s doing really well in Milan, he’s playing well so obviously his price is increasing. It’s premature to talk about a move to Barcelona or Manchester City though.

“If a player puts in excellent performance at a club like Inter, it’s obvious he’d come into the viewfinder of some of the world’s best clubs.

“The other side of the coin though is his price, how much Inter would demand from suitors and if they’d be willing to pay that to take him from Milan.

“If Inter paid €25m for Skriniar, I don’t expect them to sell him for €40m or €50m. Inter aren’t currently in a position where they’d have to sell players.”

Skriniar is currently in the WhoScored Team of the Season in Serie A, emphasising how good the centre-back has been for Inter this season.

Not only that, but only Matias Silvestre (544) and Kalidou Koulibaly (539) have made more passes in their own half of the pitch than Skriniar (520) in Serie A this season.
