Real Madrid could look to trigger Alvaro Morata’s £26.7m buy-back clause this month, according to AS.
Los Blancos are expected to be very active in the remaining weeks of the transfer window after being given a transfer ban by Fifa, which will make them unable to register players over the next two transfer windows.
Morata, 23, has been linked with a return to Madrid ever since leaving the club for Juventus in 2014 and Zinedine Zidane’s side retain a buy-back option on the their academy graduate, which can be activated this month.
The Spain international only recently signed a new five-year deal with Juventus and would have to agree to the return for it to be made possible.
Morata proved an integral player in their run to the Champions League final last season but has struggled to find a regular spot in Max Allegri’s starting XI with Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic ahead of him in the pecking order.
As a result, the Juventus No.9 has started more league games from the substitute bench (9) than from the start (8) this season and only has one league goal to show for thus far.
