West Ham not interested in re-signing Payet

West Ham are not looking at a sensational swoop to re-sign Dimitri Payet from Marseille contrary to reports in France, claims Sky Sports.

French outlet L'Equipe reported West Ham were keen on bringing Payet back to the London Stadium three years following his departure.

Payet cemented himself as one of West Ham's best ever players in the Premier League in the space of just 18 months at the club.

The 32-year-old tarnished his legacy at the club by forcing his return to Marseille and West Ham are not considering a shock move for the France international.

Payet has been in sensational form for Marseille this season with six goals and three assists to his name in 16 league appearances.

He has claimed five WhoScored Man of the Match awards in that time and has a superb WhoScored rating of 7.66.

Furthermore, Payet averages more key passes (4.1) per game than any other player in Europe's top 5 leagues this season.
