Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has urged Los Blancos to go all out and sign compatriot and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, according to Don Balon via talkSPORT.
Real Madrid came close to signing the shotstopper in 2015, but a dodgy fax machine meant the paperwork was not received in time and the deal fell through.
De Gea has gone on to establish himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe and is still the subject of interest from the La Liga giants as they look to improve at the back.
Zinedine Zidane is able to call upon Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla between the sticks at present, but De Gea would be an immediate step up on the duo.
And Ramos has supposedly urged the Spanish and European champions to go all out to sign the 27-year-old, who is contracted to United until 2019.
Reports suggest Athletic Club youngster Kepa Arrizabalaga is being earmarked as Real Madrid’s next number one, though the youngster is also attracting interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
De Gea has been in superb form for United this season, with the Spain international conceding just one goal in seven home league games so far.
