Manchester United and Juventus agree Lukaku and Dybala swap deal

Manchester United and Juventus have agreed a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, claims Sky Sports.

The only thing now standing in the way of a deal moving forward is Dybala giving the green light to joining United, with his agent in London to discuss personal terms for his client.

Dybala has been marginalised at Juventus since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival 12 months ago and the Old Lady are looking to offload the Argentina international.

The 25-year-old is due to report back to pre-season training with Juventus on Thursday but it’s unclear whether that will now happen, as a move to United gathers pace.

Maurizio Sarri’s side initiated talks with United about a potential deal for Lukaku and have managed to leapfrog rivals Inter in the race for his signature.

Inter have been locked in negotiations with United about signing Lukaku all summer but have failed to get a deal over the line.

Antonio Conte missed out on signing Lukaku during his time as Chelsea manager and the same looks set to happen again with Inter.

Despite the fact talks have progressed between United and Juventus, it is by no means a done deal, as United will still have to convince Dybala to join them.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side cannot offer Champions League football next season but will be able to offer Dybala a significant wage hike on his current Juventus deal.

Neither player are coming off a good season for their clubs, with Lukaku only netting 12 league goals and Dybala finding the back of the net on just five occasions in Serie A.

Lukaku, however, has scored more Premier League goals than any other United player since his arrival two years ago (28) and only one player has scored more Serie A goals from outside the box than Dybala (12) over the last three seasons.
