AC Milan have announced the arrival of Flamengo defender Leo Duarte in a deal worth €11m (£9.9m).
The 23-year-old has spent his entire professional career for Flamengo but has reportedly signed a five-year deal with Milan running until the summer of 2024.
Duarte developed into a first-team regular for Flamengo last season and will provide competition for places at centre-back for Milan.
Marco Giampaolo already has Alessio Romagnoli, Mattia Caldara and Mateo Musacchio as options but has now added Duarte to the mix.
Duarte is the second defensive signing made by Milan this summer following the arrival of Real Madrid left-back Theo Hernandez at the start of the month.
Duarte made 49 league appearances for Flamengo over the last three years and boasted a pass success rate of 89.7% in that time.
