Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has told Juan Mata he will not be sold this summer, reports The Sun.
Mata’s future has been in doubt since Mourinho was named Louis van Gaal’s successor at the end of last season after he dropped down the pecking order under the Portuguese manager at Chelsea prior to his move to United in January 2014.
The Spain international has been heavily linked with a move to Everton in recent weeks but has reportedly now been informed he has a part to play in United’s future next season, although only one in three games.
Since joining United no player has created more clear-cut chances in the Premier League than Mata (22).
