Aston Villa have announced Jack Grealish has signed a new four-year deal keeping him at the club until 2020.
Grealish, 20, was tipped for a bright future when he broke onto the scene in the 2014/15 campaign and was even momentarily linked with a move to Chelsea.
However, the England Under-21 international’s career has been on the slide ever since after several off-field controversies but the midfielder has now extended his stay at Villa Park.
“Everyone knows this is a club I love dearly – and it’s the place I want to play my football,” Grealish told Villa’s official website.
“Bodymoor Heath provides a great environment in which to continue my football education and to call Villa Park home is something I will never take for granted.
“We’re looking to return to the Premier League. I want to be a big part of that process and will be doing everything possible to make that a reality.”
In five appearances in the Championship this season Grealish has already scored more goals (2) than he had managed in his previous 34 league appearances (1).
