Manchester United have been served a huge blow in their pursuit of Monaco superstar Kylian Mbappe with news the teenager does not see Jose Mourinho’s side as an appealing move, claims L’Equipe, via Get French Football.
Mbappe has quickly emerged as the new darling of football in Europe following his meteoric rise in 2017 and now just about every big club in Europe are pursuing his signature ahead of what could be a blockbuster summer for big transfer fees.
Reports emerged earlier in the week suggesting United had failed with an opening £72m bid for the 19-year-old but Jose Mourinho may now have to turn his attentions to another striker with Mbappe unimpressed with the football United play.
The France international is also not convinced a move to Old Trafford would be in his best interests with Antony Martial and Marcus Rashford already filling similar positions. Monaco have no desire to sell Mbappe but would struggle to resist accepting anything that would see Mbappe become the world’s most expensive player.
Mbappe has scored 24 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions for Monaco this season.
