Frankfurt reject claims Real Madrid have signed Jovic

Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic has rejected claims they have agreed to sell Luka Jovic to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Reports have emerged from Spain suggesting Madrid had reached an €60m agreement with Frankfurt to sign sought after striker Jovic this summer.

The 21-year-old has developed into one of the brightest prospects in Europe’s top five leagues this season and has been linked to a number of the continent’s biggest clubs.

Madrid are targeting a mass-squad overhaul this summer but Bobic insists there has been no contact with the Spanish side over Jovic.

“There has been no contact with Real Madrid,” he told ESPN. “For once, I don’t have to use a white lie, they really haven’t been in touch yet. I know them very well.”
