Fulham are determined to fend off interest in Ryan Sessegnon this summer and keep the teenager for at least one more season, reports the London Evening Standard.
Sessegnon has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and Tottenham in the last 12 months after developing into one of the most exciting young talents in England.
Fulham’s only realistic chance of keeping Sessegnon for next season is if they can secure promotion to the Premier League this time around but even then it’s not a foregone conclusion.
However, Slavisa Jokanovic’s side will not go down without a fight and are determined to fend off interest from the likes of United and Tottenham in the summer.
The Cottagers value Sessegnon at around £50m but would ideally want to keep him at the club for at least one more season.
Sessegnon has featured in every single league game for Fulham this season and the appeal of guaranteed first-team football next season may work in their favour when the big clubs come calling.
The 17-year-old has played a direct hand in 20 goals in 42 league appearances this season (14 goals and six assists) and can play at left-back and on the left wing.
