Spurs set to renew interest in Palace star

Tottenham are prepared to return for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in the January transfer window, reports the Daily Mail.

Spurs were keen on the wideman over the summer, but were rebuffed in their attempts to sign the 24-year-old, with an opening £12m gambit swiftly rejected.

Zaha has been a shining light in what has been a poor season for Palace, with the Eagles on point above the relegation zone, a dissappointing run that ultimately cost Alan Pardew his job.

New boss Sam Allardyce has dropped no hint that he is willing to sell Zaha next month, with the recently appointed Palace manager believed to be a big fan of the player having tried to sign him during his time at the West Ham helm.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino rates Zaha highly amidst reports that the north London side could return for player.

Palace, though, rate Zaha at £30m and will demand Spurs offer a similar amount if they are to be convinced into selling.

A return of three goals and six assists has helped Zaha gain a WhoScored rating of 7.58 this season, the highest of all Palace players.
